Accordeon. Rosewood veneer ends, 15x5.25in/381x133mm, with stained mouldings, brass and pearl floral inlays, and lightwood purfling. Right-hand has 24 square pearl keys (12 on each row) and two snakehead palm levers controlling drones, one with nickel cage. 26 pearl pallets (one missing). Left-hand has a large nickel air lever with fancy handle, plus six brass feet on hand frame, and two articulated bass levers. Brass beds, brass single riveted tongues. Pan label, in pen: 'D22'. 5-fold silver-papered bellows. Rectangular blue label with gold lettering on bellows: 'William Prowse, late Keith Prowse & Co, Manufacturer of Musical Instruments, 48 Cheapside, London'. Identical label in lid of box. Two stamps in wood of left-hand: 'Keith Prowse & Co, 48 Cheapside, London'. No serial number.
