Chromatic button accordion. Walnut veneer ends, 9.88x6in/251x152mm, pufled and inlaid with marquetry; fancy metal plates on each corner of ends and bellows frames. Right-hand: 2 rows of chamfered square bone keys and pallets (10 outer, 9 inner) with exposed pallets. Left-hand: 4 bone-tipped bass keys, with damaged air lever. Two banks of steel reeds on double frames, with leather baskets. 16-fold bellows with metal corners and blue leather cloth edging. Later leather thumb and hand straps. Inset glazed panel covers a fancy coloured and gilded label: 'premiata Fabbrica de Armoniche, Cesare Pancotti di Antonio, Macerata, Marche-Italia'. Serial number: 103.
