Frame drum
Double membrane frame drum. The convex wooden shell is painted black. The pigskin membranes are glued and nailed into position with lines of round-headed iron tacks below each rim and the edge cut straight immediately beneath. Three metal suspension rings are attached equidistantly around the waist, one with a cord attached, to which is tied a wooden beater (M6.12.65/26a).
