It has two pointed ears, a pointed nose with two nostrils, eyes in the form of impressed circles with an impressed dot at the centre of each, and a straight slit for a mouth. The tail is pointed and extends upwards. The mouth hole for the player is at the centre of the animal's back. A line of four round finger holes stretches from the head to the tail on each side of the instrument. Each hole connects with the central cavity.
