Generally well preserved, with just one section of the end of the handle (yong) cut away. It has had iron pendant(s) attached to it at a later date. The left and right sides of the gu both have a small mould casting hole in them. Made of Bronze. The colour of the whole body is earthy brown. The handle (yong) is hollow in the middle and is connected to the body of the bell. No traces of polishing are found inside the body. The yong is short and has a raised collar (xuan). The cross-section of the yong is round in shape. The body of the bell, thin and long, is shaped like a combined pair of tiles. The body is trapezoid shaped when viewed from the front. The mouth (yu) is slightly curved. The underside (wu) is flat. The two xian points are pointing slightly outwards. There are 36 conical studs on the body of the bell. The the areas (zhuan) between the studs, gu and xuan are decorated with cloud and thunder patterns.
