Cavalry trumpet in E-flat
Double coiled cavalry trumpet made of silver-plated brass. Ligature tuning-slide at mouthpipe. Unsigned mouthpiece chained to instrument. Nominal pitch: 6 1/2-ft Eb. According to Denis Durkin, Treasurer and Acting Secretary of The Devil's Own Sergeants' Club, it belonged to "Major Mead's Galloper" (John Akers?).
