Violin

Violin and bow which used to belong to Jimmy Dyer, known as the "Cumberland Bard", a symbolic character of the early 20th Century. He used to travel around fairs playing his instruments, and he is often depicted playing his violin. This dark wooden violin is a 4/4 size violin made of wood. The bridge is missing, the strings are not stretched and the varnish has gone.
