Basset horn
The barrel and body sections of light brown figured wood; the book of darker wood; the bell of brass; ivory mounts; the body angled at the middle socket: 12 brass keys, 8 with plain square covers and 4 with round cupped covers, mounted mostly in saddles but 6 with primary pivots in a single turned ring: two basset keys for R Th: twin holes for L3; mouthpiece absent.
