Bass trumpet
Brass trumpet with 3 vent holes. According to his widow, this instrument was used in the 1960s by Philip Jones with the English Chamber Orchestra and with Walther Holy and the West German Radio Orchestra. It is loosely based on the instrument in a portrait of Gottfried Reiche, Bach’s trumpet player.
