Square pianoforte
Piano. A mahogany cased square piano by Broadwood, the lid lifting to form music stand, and enclosing six octaves plus one key, ivory and ebony topped and with moulded wooden fronts. Rosewood back panel, with two pierced grille sections lined with red silk grosgrain, each side of a cream-painted maker's panel with black text "John Broadwood & Sons, / Makers to their Majesties & the Princesses, / Great Pulteney Street, Golden Square, / London." On four turned legs, and with a single sustain pedal.
