saz
Plucked string instrument called a saz. The pear-shaped body is made from several ribs of varying shades of wood that are glued together. The sound-board is also made of strips of thin wood in varying colours. The thin, long neck is attached to the body with a tuning-head that has six of the original seven T-shaped tuning pegs. The neck has tied-on frets of nylon thread. Six of the seven original steel strings are present.
