clappers
Clapper made of yellow cedar?, carved in two parts, the top decorated in low relief with a formline design representing a killer whale, with blow hole and flukes, the flukes doubling up as a bird head [raven?], the beak running down the whale's back. Colours are black red and green. The bottom half is painted red, and otherwise undecorated, the two halves are carved out on the inside, the edges also painted red. The two halves are held together by a binding of split spruce root? The top half of the clappers is nearly broken through at the waist.
