back: 2 pieces of sycamore, moderately arched; double purfling, with both lines reverted at the button into an overlapping double-V. Belly: 2 pieces of pine; double purfling. Soundholes: 63mm long, rh set higher than lh. Ribs: plain wood (?yew). Neck and fingerboard modern, angled for playing as violin, but with a curious step in the neck. Head: spliced onto neck. Pegs: 4 modern, in ebony, set with lozenges of pearl. Scroll: carved as female head, similar to V6, but more finely done. Length 597, back 336, width 154/105/184, depth 40/34
