Belly: pine, with oval sound-hole; bridge: fixed, mahogany with an ivory inset, for 4 double courses of strings passing over a tortoise-shell plate to metal pins on a metal endplate. Fingerboard: ebony with 6 pearl spots and 17 frets; head: glued on to neck, with machine-tuning on 2 white-metal plates by 8 bone pegs. Inside: transverse soundbars on belly.
