Cornet. Nominal pitch: B♭ etc.
Technical description: Brass. Circular form with upturned bell. Leadpipe enters 3rd valve casing at 15° left of front; 3rd valve loop leaves from right and returns to right; bellpipe exits 1st valve casing at the back. main tuning-slide placed between 1st valve and bell. No water-key. With crook for F only. Valve type: 3 Périnet valves, bottom-sprung; alignment by key on casing and slot on piston.
