Technical description: The round, concave, pernambuco (?) stick has a dark, red-brown varnish, has gold, blue and white thread winding, and ends in a modern head with an ivory (?) headface. The screw-mechanism, squared, ebony frog has mother-of-pearl decorative eyes and a mother-of-pearl slide. The underslide, ferrule and heelplate are metal (nickel?).
