Sousaphone. Nominal pitch: E♭.
Technical description: Silver-plated brass; final section of bell flare fitted to bell-pipe with flanged joint and secured with two screws with heads pierced by rods, the bell mouth can to rotated to point in any desired direction. Valve type: 3 Périnet valves (not inspected as top caps stuck, but apparently conventional, bottom-sprung). Repair History: A replacement mouthpipe and mouthpipe supporting rods supplied by A.K.F. Wilson, 1982.
