Orchestral hand horn
Technical description: 2½ coils excluding crooks; angle between axis of mouthpipe / crook receiver and axis of bell 127°; yellow brass. Metal construction: seamed tubing throughout; single seamed bell; transversely seamed garland, width 32; tubular sheet stays. Two tuning-slides, differing in air column length by 51mm. With terminal crooks (531a) 1-coil for B? alto, (531b) 1-coil for A, (531c) 1-coil for G, (531d) 2-coil for F, (531e) 2-coil for E, (531f) 2-coil for E?, (531g) 3-coil for D, (531h) 3-coil for C, which differs from the others in its mouthpiece ferrule and diamond-shaped plate, and coupler (531i) 1-coil for B? basso with crook (531h). Repair History: Small patch on bell taper.
