Half-size violin.
Technical description: Spruce soundboard; sycamore ribs, back, neck, head; ebony fingerboard, tailpiece, pegs, endpin, tail-gut protector. 2 piece soundboard, scraper finished. Purfling ebony/sycamore/ebony. 6 ribs, medium to deep figure, up at the back, down at front (bass side). 1 piece back with medium to deep figure, fairly horizontal, slightly up at the left (treble) side. Neck set at modern angle. The back has some evidence of solvent damage to the varnish. Varnish a reddish-brown colour, with a tendency to obscure the grain. Top arch 12mm, bottom arch 12mm. zzzNeck length 111; fingerboard length 226, width at nut 20.0, at bottom 37.7.
