Beater: bass drum.
Technical description: Wooden stick with heavy leather-covered wooden head. Light wood handle tapers from 18mm diameter at the end ferrule to 13mm diameter at the narrowest. It tapers back out towards the head. Total mass 190g; head mass 135g (71%).
