Technical description: Soundboard of spruce, back, ribs, head and neck of sycamore; fingerboard, tailpiece and tail-gut protector of ebony; pegs and endpin of boxwood. Body in the shape of a Renaissance viol or 19th century guitar. One piece soundboard, wide grain on the bass side, close grain on the treble side. F-holes. Ebony/sycamore/ebony purfling. Red brown varnish, worn away in a number of places on the soundboard. Soundboard arching viol-style, 13mm high. One piece back with good figure. Arching 10.5mm. Ebony/sycamore/ebony purfling on the back and decorative purfling ornament in the middle. One piece head and neck, neck length 160; fingerboard length 235, width at nut 23.1, at bottom 40.4. Violin scroll on head.
