Technical description: Soundboard of fine grained spruce, bookmatched. Bridge of ebony, the main part 112mm long and 23.5mm wide. It appears to have been (re)-glued on the wrong way, and has a separate saddle facility which has now been filled with a flush piece of mother-of-pearl. There are rosewood exclamation mark terminals at either end, having a mother-of-pearl dot halfway down the terminal and on the ebony dot. The soundhole is 91mm diameter, and has a purfling consisting of a thick band of walnut, thin bands of maple/walnut/maple, two thick bands of walnut, thin bands of maple/walnut/maple, two thick bands of walnut, thin bands of maple/walnut/maple/walnut/maple/walnut. There are alternate inlays dots and diamonds in mother-of-pearl placed centrally in the bands. The soundboard is edged in walnut, with thin bands of maple/walnut/maple, then three thick bands of walnut, then thin maple/walnut/maple bands and then a thick walnut band inside. There are inlaid mother-of-pearl dots placed centrally. There is an inlaid mother-of-pearl heart, edged with walnut, between the bridge and the bottom of the guitar. The back and sides are rosewood. There is a wide band of rosewood at the bottom, surrounded by maple/walnut/maple on either side, and a stained walnut endpin in the centre. The rosewood on the back is one piece, and is veneered onto a mahogany core. The heel, neck and back of the head are of one piece of mahogany. There is a flowing curve between the heel and neck, and the neck and the head. There is a piece of rosewood forming the top of the head. The machine heads are brass with ivory rollers and buttons. The nut is ivory. The neck is 322mm long, 46mm wide at the nut and 54mm wide at the body join. The fingerboard is rosewood, and has been scalloped between each fret. There are eighteen frets in total.
