Cornet. Nominal pitch: B♭ etc.
Technical description: Of german silver (maillechort). Model of cornet with wide minimum bore, comparable with the British cornopean. Shanks for B♭ and A; crooks for A♭, G, F and E; coupler for E♭ to be used with crook for F. Valve type: 3 Stölzel valves in V-formation, spring inside hollow stem, alignment by screwed pins which also locate lower end of spring; metal partitions (coquilles).
