Technical description: Brass with german-silver trim. Water-key on main tuning-slide; fitting for music card holder. L1: 5th valve (used in combination). L2: 6th valve (6 semitones). R1: 1st valve (2 semitones). R2: 2nd valve (1 semitone). R3: 3rd valve (3 semitones). R4: 4th valve (5 semitones). Valve type: 6 rotary valves; cork buffers on valve top caps. Repair History: Damaged in Californian earthquake while still new; poor repair in Los Angeles; effective repair by Stewart Benzie of Perth, 1998.
