Musical box
Rectangular case, veneered all over with bird's-eye maple, the outer edge of the lid and the corners crossbanded with mahogany. Top of lid inlaid with a bone shield. Interior of case ebonised. Small cylinder and comb and clockwork mechanism, activated by keywind on base of case. Geneva stopwork mechanism missing from barrel. Speed governed by worm-driven fly on left-hand side. Fixed glass cover. Plays six tunes, detailed on tune-sheet attached to underside of lid. Stands on four small brass ball feet.
