Musical box
Rectangular case, the sides and back veneered with plain rosewood, the front and lid veneered with rosewood crossbanded with mahogany, bordered with fruitwood stringing. Lid inlaid with central motif of musical instruments (two shawms, a drum and pan-pipes) and flowers in pale and stained fruitwoods and boxwood. Interior of case ebonised. Cylinder and comb, with ratcheted lever-winding mechanism on left-hand side and stop/start levers on right. Tandem barrels, with Geneva stopwork mechanism, on central arbor. Speed governed by worm-driven fly on right-hand side. Glass cover. Plays eight tunes. Tune-sheet now missing.
