Polyphon

Square case, the sides and lid veneered with walnut, the interior veneered with kingwood. Inside of lid decorated with sepia-coloured print, depicting puttii playing various musical instruments in a scene of Classical ruins. Single comb mechanism with centre drive, the metal bed plate stamped "POLYPHON". Lever wound, the ratcheted lever and stop/start button positioned at front of case. With 27 original steel discs.
