Oak, veneered with panels of burr walnut, crossbanded with mahogany, lines in boxwood and ebony in a repeating pattern of long dashes and short crosses. Lid, interior and exterior, spine and stand also veneered. Compass: CC–f''', chromatic. 3-octave span: 486 (lower keyboard); 485 (upper keyboard).
