Harpsichord
This harpsichord is made of walnut wood, inlaid with boxwood squares. It bears a silver plaque set in tortoiseshell and engraved with a trophy of instruments, and above the words O decus Phaebi (To the glory of Phoebus) and Jacobus Kirckman, Londini fecit 1754. The white keys are ivory and it has black accidentals. The instrument has two manuals, 2 x 8’ on the lower manual, and 1 x 4’ on the upper manual with lute stop.
