Mandolin

Mandolin of modern ('Neapolitan') type, of lute-like construction, using mainly mahogany, rosewood and pine, with some decorative inlays of tortoiseshell, mother-of-pearl and ivory. The back compromises 19 ribs and the instrument carries four paired courses of strings (in brass and steel) and 17 metal frets. With later plectrum and mandolin tutor dated 1968.
