Technical description: boxwood; 4 sections; brass keys; 4 ivory ferrules plus cap; slightly oval embouchure-hole; large L2 and R2 finger-holes.; Nominal pitch: C.; Type or system: 4 keys.; Keyhead type: flat square, notched and chamfered.; Keymount type: ring/knob.; Usable pitch: in present condition, A₄ c|437|Hz.; Performance characteristics: range D₄|-|A₆; plays loudly with clear sound but erratic intonation, probably caused by open space at joints; top register does not speak easily in present condition.
