Piccolo trumpet.

Technical description: Brass with german silver mouthpiece receiver sheath, outer slides, ferrules and valve parts. French bell rim. Detachable bell with single coil; single tuning slide (30mm maximum extension) with inner after valves and outer on moveable bell and ligature restraining screw at proximal end of bell pipe. There is a dummy loop under the valves with a single slide, the inner attached to the bell and the outer attached to the mouthpiece receiver sheath and the 1st and 3rd valve loops. There is a water key on the bellpipe coil. Only the 3rd valve has a tuning-slide.; Nominal pitch: B?.; Type or system: 3 valves.; ; ; ; Usable pitch: Probably built for use at A?=|440|Hz.; Performance characteristics: according to John Wallace, a completely different concept from the modern piccolo trumpet.
