Transverse flute in B-flat
This is a side-blown flute made of dark wood in two sections (head and body joint, made of different woods), with nickel-silver ferrules and brass keywork. It has four saltspoon-cup keys mounted in blocks with brass pivots, and flat springs attached to keys. The embouchure hole is oval and the 2nd and 5th fingerholes are larger. Nominal pitch: A
