Side drum
Side Drum, brass, 1871; carried by the 94th Regiment at Bronkhorst Spruit 1880. It was captured by the Boers and recovered at the end of hostilities. No painting; metal impressed with maker’s name Henry Potter, London, date and serial number; four cord tensioners and four pulleys on upper hoop; eight plain wheel runner pulleys on lower hoop; hoops painted blue outside with red edge and white worm and white inside with red edge and blue worm; white blancoed cord; eight snares.
