Bass Side Drum, wood, 1800 (c), repainted 1815 (c); used by the 4th (The King’s Own) Regiment of Foot supposedly at the Battle of Waterloo; front painted black, decorated with Hanoverian royal arms and battle honours; eleven rope holes, painted red outside with white edge; natural hemp cords with buff slides; plain drag rope covers cords.
