Kettledrum

Presented to the 1st Royal Lancashire Militia at Weymouth on 15 Aug 1805 by King George III. Elongated hemispherical shell. Painted blue and bears the royal arms, George III cypher and regimental name. Drum head whole, detached from hoop at front; iron hoop painted blue outside with red edge. Seven tension screws, two missing. Tripod base.
