Clarinet in B-flat

Clarinet made of boxwood, in five sections (barrel, upper, middle and lower body joints, and bell) with ivory ferrules and brass keywork. Eight keys mounted in blocks, brass saddles, and lower joint stock bulge, with flat, square covers, and flat springs attached to keys. Cross keys for E4-flat/B5-flat and B3/F5-sharp, mounted in brass saddles, might have been a later addition. Wooden mouthpiece with thread ligature. Nominal pitch: B-flat. This instrument is part of the Albert C. Spencer collection.
