Oboe

Oboe made of stained flamed boxwood, in three sections (top and middle body joints, and bell), with ivory ferrules and silver keywork. Two keys (E-flat and C) mounted on raised rings, with flat, octagonal-covers, and flat springs attached to keys. E-flat key with circular touch and spurs, and C key with swallow-tail touch. Double third and fourth fingerholes, with slightly oval coves. Two vent holes in bell flare. Conical bore. Nominal pitch: C. This instrument is part of the Albert C. Spencer collection.
