Transverse flute in C

Side-blown, flamed boxwood flute made in four sections (head, upper and middle joints, and foot joint), with ivory cap and ferrules, and silver keywork. Four flat, square cover keys mounted in blocks and foot stock bulge, and flat springs attached to keys. Oval embouchure hole and larger 2nd, 4th and 5th fingerholes. Nominal pitch: C. This instrument is part of the Albert C. Spencer collection.
