Cornopean
Double-coiled, English cornet made entirely of brass. Three Stözel valves with nickel-silver buttons. One flat, round-cover key mounted on saddle, with tonehole located at bell tube bow (MacFarlane's clapper key for trills, patented in 1845). Two additional crooks for F and G. Silver-plated mouthpiece. Nominal pitch: B-flat. This instrument is part of the Albert C. Spencer collection.
