Nominal pitch: A. 6 keys on extant sections. Technical description: Boxwood with ivory mounts and brass keys. Rosewood mouthpiece with tenon; waisted barrel with two sockets; upper section with two tenons; middle section with socket and tenon; lower section with socket and tenon; bell with socket. All extant sockets with ivory ferrules. Keyhead type: flat square. Keymount type: raised wooden blocks and bell-shaped swelling for R4 finger-hole and keymount.
