This is a side-blown piccolo flute made of rosewood, in three sections (head, barrel, and body joint), with nickel-silver ferrules and keywork. It has six saltspoon-cup keys (two missing) mounted in posts with rods, with flat springs attached to keys. The head is lined with metal, and the tenon-socket joint with the barrel is of metal too. The cap is missing, but the cork stopper is present. The embouchure hole is large and oval, and the fifth fingerhole is larger. The body tenon joint is wrapped in thread. Nominal pitch: E-flat.
