This is a side-blown piccolo flute made of cocus wood in three sections (head, barrel, and body joint), with nickel-silver ferrules and keywork. It has four saltspoon-cup keys (two missing) mounted with pivots in protruded wooden knobs, with flat springs attached to keys. The head is lined with metal, and the tenon-socket joint with the barrel is of metal too. The embouchure hole is large and oval, and the fifth fingerhole is larger. The body tenon joint is wrapped in thread. Nominal pitch: E-flat.
