Piccolo in E-flat (D-flat)
This is a side-blown piccolo flute made of cocus wood, in three sections (head, barrel, and body joint), with nickel-silver ferrules and keywork. It has six modern-style-cup keys mounted in posts with rods, with flat springs attached to keys. The head is lined with metal, and the tenon-socket joint with the barrel is of metal too. It has a wooden cap with nickel-silver turned tip, and cork stopper, a rounded rectangle embouchure hole, and larger second, fifth and sixth fingerholes. The tenon joint is wrapped with thread. Nominal pitch: D-flat.
