Clarinet

Clarinet made of boxwood, in four sections (short barrel, upper and lower joints, and bell), with ivory ferrules and brass keywork. It has six flat, round-cover keys mounted with pivots in protruded knobs and lower stock bulge, with flat brass springs attached to keys, and cork paddings. The key toneholes are bushed with brass. The barrel has a tenon joint on top, while the mouthpiece has a socket joint with ivory ferrule. The mouthpiece is made of dark wood, with grooved lines for string ligature, and has an original mouthpiece cap made of boxwood. The tenon joints are wrapped with thread. Nominal pitch: B-flat.
