Drum
This instrument was collected in the field by Percy Horace Gordon Powell-Cotton. It is a large single-headed drum with a beautifully carved wooden shell, and a haired animal skin membrane, shaved only on the playing surface, and attached with six large wooden pegs. The membrane edge was cut in V-shaped loops that were stretched through the pegs and hemmed with twisted rattan.
