Clarinet in C
This instrument belonged to Mrs. Knight from 1939-1945. It was renovated by Boosey and Hawkes company. It is a clarinet made of African blackwood, in four sections (barrel, upper joint, lower joint, and bell) with nickel-silver ferrules and keywork. It has thirteen modern-style-cup keys mounted in posts with rods, with flat springs attached to keys. It has a wrap-around register key, a straight A-throat key, and a brille key in the lower joint. The mouthpiece is made of dark wood and has a silver-plated ligature and mouthpiece cap. Nominal pitch: C.
