Clarinet
This instrument was owned by Ralph Moseley. Clarinet made of African blackwood in four sections (barrel, upper and lower joints, and bell) with nickel-silver ferrules and keywork. It has thirteen cylinder-cup keys, mounted in posts with rods, with flat and needle springs attached to keys and posts, with cork paddings. There is a brille key at the lower joint (two ring-key), a straight throat A-flat key, and the register key wraps around the body. The tenon joints are wrapped with cork and thread. The mouthpiece is made of ebonite, and has a nickel-silver ligature. Nominal pitch: A.
