Transverse flute in B-flat (A-flat)
Side-blown flute made of African blackwood in two sections (head and body) with nickel-silver ferrules and keywork. It has four saltspoon-cup keys mounted in wooden knobs with pins, with flat springs attached to key. It has an oval embouchure. The tenon is wrapped in thread. Nominal pitch: A-flat.
