Transverse flute in E-flat (D-flat)

Side-blown flute made of rosewood/cocus wood, in three sections (head, body and foot), with silver-plated nickel-silver ferrules and keywork. It has fourteen closed keys with cylinder cups, mounted in posts with rods affixed on plates, with flat and needle springs attached to keys and posts, and with cork paddings. It has a silver-plated, nickel silver head with raised lip plate in sleeve form, with oval embouchure hole. The head has a cork stopper with metal cap and screw. The tenon/socket joints are lined with metal. The low C key has a roller touch. Nominal pitch: D-flat. This instrument matches models offered by Rudall, Carte & Co. with parabola headjoint and combined Carte's and Boehm's key systems.
